On December 10, 2024, a delegation headed by Vice President and Professor Marc-Philippe Weller from Heidelberg University visited KoGuan School of Law at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The delegation was warmly received by Dean and Professor Peng Chengxin, Deputy Dean and Professor Guo Yanjun, Director of International Law Discipline and Professor Hu Jiaxiang, and Assistant Dean and Associate Professor He Juan. A friendly exchange took place in Room 205 of the Zhe Sheng Hall.

During the meeting, Professor Peng Chengxin extended a warm welcome to the Heidelberg University delegation and briefly introduced the history, discipline development, teaching achievements and faculty development of KoGuan School of Law. Professor Marc-Philippe Weller then shared insights into Heidelberg University's Law School, focusing on its educational philosophy, research specialties, and internationalization efforts.

The discussions delved into ways to enhance faculty exchanges and broaden student interactions. The Heidelberg University delegation highly commended the KoGuan School of Law's achievements in legal education and research and expressed a strong desire to strengthen cooperation. Both sides agreed that deeper educational collaboration and academic exchanges would significantly boost the academic standards of both institutions, broaden international perspectives, and infuse new energy into the global development of legal education.

This visit marks a significant step in the cooperation between KoGuan School of Law at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Heidelberg University in the field of legal education.
