Recently, the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject was officially released. The Law Discipline of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) ranks 27th globally, leaping 12 places from 2025 and entering the world's top 30 for the first time, which indicates a sound development momentum.

For a long time, KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, earnestly fulfilled the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, steadily promoted the development of the law discipline, continuously attracted and cultivated high-caliber faculty, and continuously consolidated the foundation for the discipline's development. The school has made intensive efforts in the development and research of foreign-related rule of law, with the quality of talent training continuously improving and its international influence steadily rising. Meanwhile, it has actively responded to the needs of national strategies and achieved a series of representative innovative results in emerging and cutting-edge fields such as digital rule of law.

Taking this as a new starting point, KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University will continue to promote the development of faculty, the training of foreign-related rule of law talents, organized scientific research, and internationalized school-running. It will strive to take legal education and research to new heights and contribute SJTU's strength to accelerating the establishment of a world-class legal education system with Chinese characteristics.
