KoGuan School of Law Visited Columbia Law School

On June 11th, KoGuan School of Law, led by Professor Peng Chengxin, the Dean, visited the University of Columbia Law School. Professor Lin Xifen, Vice Dean, Professor Guo Yanjun, Vice Dean, Associate Professor He Juan, Assistant Dean, and Fu Yuanyuan from the Office of Party and Government Affairs also participated in this visit.

Adam Kolker, Assistant Dean and Executive Director for International and Comparative Law Programs at Columbia Law School, warmly welcomed KoGuan School of Law. Dean Peng introduced the history, educational programs, international achievements of KoGuan Law School, and the contributions from the Leo Koguan Foundation. Adam Kolker outlined the Columbia Law School’s international and comparative law programs. The two parties discussed the possibility of establishing a special LLM and JD program scholarship at Columbia University with the support of the Leo Koguan Foundation. Discussions also covered student exchanges, summer programs, and faculty visits.

On June 13th, the delegation met with six alumni currently studying or working in the U.S. Dean Peng shared recent developments at the KoGuan School of Law, and learned about their current lives in the U.S. He encouraged the alumni to pursue excellence in their studies and careers, and stated that the school would always be a solid backing for them.

KoGuan Law School will continue to cooperate with leading international law schools, promote innovation in legal education, and cultivate more outstanding students.
