On June 12th, KoGuan School of Law, led by Professor Peng Chengxin, the Dean, visited the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Professor Lin Xifen, Vice Dean, Professor Guo Yanjun, Vice Dean, Associate Professor He Juan, Assistant Dean, and Fu Yuanyuan from the Office of Party and Government Affairs also participated in this visit. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Sophia Z. Lee, Dean of the Penn Carey Law, Professor Eric A. Feldman, Deputy Dean for International Programs, Professor Jacques DeLisle, Director of the Center for the Study of Contemporary China, Assistant Professor Yanbai Andrea Wang, and Elise Kraemer, Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs.
The two sides reflected on their history of cooperation. Several faculty members from KoGuan Law School have studied or visited the University of Pennsylvania, and more than ten students have studied there over the past five years. Building on this foundation, Dean Peng hoped that the two schools could deepen cooperation in student exchanges, summer programs, and scholar exchanges. KoGuan Law alumni, at the University of Pennsylvania, Li You and Leng Jian, also joined the discussions.
This visit initiated a promising collaborative relationship between KoGuan Law School and Penn Carey Law School. Both institutions will continue to deepen their partnership and explore innovative legal education. This collaboration will provide a high-standard platform for KoGuan Law School’s training of international legal professionals.
