Scholars from the University of Warwick Visited KoGuan School of Law and Held Academic Lectures

On February 28th, scholars from the University of Warwick visited KoGuan School of Law, and delivered an lecture "Medical Devices: Innovative Development and Compliance Risks". This visit was supported by the SJTU-Warwick Joint Seed Fund. Mr. Lu Yiguang, senior partner of Shanghai Lianhe Law Firm, also attended the lecture.

Professor Davide Piaggio from the Engineering Department of the University of Warwick introduced the "EU and UK Medical Device Regulatory Frameworks." Mr. Lu Yiguang analyzed the "Legal Risks for Domestic Medical Device Companies Going Global." Given the importance of healthcare data security in the import-export trade of medical device industries, Dr. Lyla Latif, researcher of the University of Warwick Law School, introduced the "Compliance Development Dynamics of Digital Healthcare in the UK." Associate Professor Yu Jiajia, the Chinese coordinator of the SJTU-Warwick Joint Seed Fund, hosted the lecture and provided translations.

Professor Guo Yanjun, Vice Dean of KoGuan School of Law, welcomed scholars from the University of Warwick. She emphasized the new trends in the development of the medical and healthcare industry and the importance of legal compliance. She advocated for deeper collaboration among the academic, practical, and industrial sectors to jointly promote the safe and sustainable development of the industry. Additionally, Professor Guo wished to strengthen cooperation between SJTU and the University of Warwick in cultivating high-level talents in interdisciplinary fields.

The SJTU-Warwick Joint Seed Fund Project has also received strong support from Professor Cheng Jinhua and Professor Li Xueyao of KoGuan School of Law.
