On July 20-21, the 28th World Jurist Conference, organized by the World Jurist Association, was held in New York City, USA. The opening ceremony of the conference was held at the New York City Bar Association headquarters, and the closing ceremony was scheduled to be held at the United Nations headquarters. Hu Jiaxiang, Executive director of the Chinese Society of International Law and Professor of KoGuan School of Law Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was invited to this conference. 

This conference coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the World Association of Jurists, and more than 300 prosecutors, judges, diplomats and professors from all around the world attended this event. After the opening ceremony on the morning of July 20, Professor Hu Jiaxiang gave a talk on Legal Education in the panel discussion entitled "The Role of Legal Practitioners in Empowering the Rule of Law" China's statement. Professor Hu Jiaxiang first introduced the basic overview of Chinese legal education, then compared Chinese legal education with that of European and American countries, and finally introduced the role of Chinese legal education in the process of promoting the rule of law.
