On Feb. 16, 2018, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) held a signing ceremony to jointly build Procuratorial Research Base for Duty Crimes (the Base) at SPP.

In recent years, SPP has attached great importance to cooperation with universities, and has established 30 procuratorial research bases. This Duty Crimes Research Base is the 2nd base for duty crimes and 31st procuratorial research base of the SPP. SPP and SJTU will make joint efforts to make it an important platform for theoretical research, teaching and research, talent training and international exchanges. The Base will strengthen investigation and research and put forward more strategic, forward-looking and operational suggestions to solve the problems of the times based on China's actual situation. Considering them all, SJTU will provide fully support and guarantee the development and construction of the Base, stimulate the comprehensive advantages of disciplines and talents, and make greater contributions to the Law-based governance in China.
