Alexey Ilin, S.J.D. candidate at KoGuan School of Law, has successfully presented his research at the conference “New Horizons in Air and Space Law: Treaties, Technologies, and Tomorrow’s Challenges,” which was jointly held by McGill University and National University of Singapore on August 1-2. Alexey was an invited speaker at Panel 4 “Legal Challenges for Planetary Space Activities.” His paper titled “Marooned on Mars: Private Astronauts’ Right of Repatriation” analyzed human rights protection issues in outer space from the perspectives of de facto statelessness, migrant workers, and enforced disappearance. Alexey’s presentation was met with genuine enthusiasm and positive comments from the delegates and moderators.
