Recently, the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2022) was held in Shanghai. A number of scholars from KoGuan School of Law, including Dean Chengxin Peng, Professor Xiangjun Kong, Professor Li Yang and Professor Ge Zheng, were invited to attend and deliver keynote speeches at sub-forums of WAIC 2022.

Asian Science and Technology Forum on Ethical Governance and Sustainable Development

The theme of the 2022 WAIC is "Asian Science and Technology Forum on Ethical Governance and Sustainable Development". Dean Chengxin Peng and Prof. Li Yang gave keynote speeches at the Asian Science and Technology Forum on Ethical Governance and Sustainable Development. Dean Peng discussed the role of law in digital ethics with the topic of "The Governance of Law in Digital Ethics".

Prof. Li Yang brought up the "World Internet Judicial Intelligent Perception System Research Initiative", expressed the hope to explore and form an internationally influential Internet judicial assessment index system and to spread the advanced experience of China's Internet court construction.

Rule of Law Forum

In the 2022 WAIC Rule of Law Forum, Prof. Xiangjun Kong delivered a keynote speech on "Constructing the "Commercial Data Article" of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law: A Solution for Implementing the Top-level Design of the Central Government on Data Property Rights System." This forum was attended by Associate Professor Wei Liu on behalf of Prof. Xiangjun Kong because of the epidemic control.

Rule of Law Youth Forum

In the 2022 WAIC Rule of Law Youth Forum, Prof. Ge Zheng gave the keynote speech with the title of "The Virtuality and Reality of the Metaverse and its Law Regulation Path". Professor Zheng stated that the solutions to the key issues of metaverse mainly depend on our current policy and legal choices.
