On the afternoon of May 25th, 2018, Prof. Nicholas W. Allard, dean of the Brooklyn Law School, Prof. Michael A. Gerber, former dean of the Brooklyn Law School, Dr. Men Qi, director of the International Student Admissions Office visited Koguan School of Law. Prof. Cheng Jinhua, associate dean of KoGuan School of Law received the guests.

Cheng Jinhua introduced the number of students, discipline construction, academic research, student exchanges and international programs of Koguan School of Law. Subsequently, Nicholas W. Allard introduced the number of students, faculty, discipline construction and other basic information of Brooklyn Law School. 

Later, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation such as exchange students and short-term programs. Cheng Jinhua communicated with Nicholas W. Allard and Michael A. Gerber about the possibility of cooperation on student exchange programs, short-term seminar and doctoral student training, based on the present cooperation between Koguan School of Law and other universities.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides presented souvenirs and took a group photo as a commemoration.

After the meeting, Michael A. Gerber held an lecture, the topic of which is "Current Status of US Investment Review of Chinese Enterprises under Trump Policy”. The lecturer analyzed and explained the opportunities for Chinese companies to invest in the United States and cooperation in the field of legal services in the political aspect. He explained the CFIUS’s review of Chinese companies' investment in the United States through many practical cases. The case involved typical cases such as Alibaba’s acquisition and Anbang Insurance’s acquisition in the United States.
