Shanghai Jiao Tong University KoGuan Law School is ranked top 100 again in QS World University Rankings by Subject in 2013.

This year only three Chinese law schools ranked in top 100. Other two Chinese law schools are Qinghua University Law School and Beijing University Law School. Renmin University Law School and China University of Political Science and Law were ranked top 100 last year but drop out this year.

The QS World University Rankings are annual university rankings published by  Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)which provides overall rankings as well as ranking for individual subjects. The QS World University Rankings is regarded to be one of the three most influential and widely observed international university rankings, along with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Academic Ranking of World Universities and the Times Higher Education's World University Rankings  .

The QS World University Rankings are based on the following factors:

1.         Academic peer review (40%)

2.         Faculty student ratio (20%)

3.         Citations per faculty (20%)

4.         Recruiter review (10%)

5.         International orientation (10%)
