September 30, 2009, KoGuan Law School successfully held the First English Moot Court Competition. The competition is sponsored by the Legal Practical Training Center and organized by the Legal English Association. Five faculty members served as judges. They are Charles McElwee, Fu Kuncheng, Liu Yongpei, Lin Yan and Xu Xiaobing.

The competition uses the Compromis for the 2010 Jessup Moot Court Competition as the case materials. Eight undergraduate and graduate law students are divided into two teams. Undergraduate law student Pan Guangyu in Team A and graduate law student Tang Minli in Team B won the Best Oralist awards. Undergraduate law student Zhou Bo won the Best Stylist award and graduate law student Wu Gang won the Best Pronunciation award.
 
KoGuan Law School will continue to hold English moot court competition annually. It will be a part of the English Moot Court Program in the Future.
