On March 4, the British Educational Organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS for short) released the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was selected as one of the top 100 law schools in the world for the ninth consecutive year.

The QS World University Rankings is one of the most influential rankings in the world. Together with the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the US News World University Rankings, and the Soft World University Academic Rankings, it is known as the Four World University Rankings. The main evaluation content includes the QS World University Rankings overall assessment of the subjects by authoritative worldwide scholars, the comprehensive evaluation on the global employability of university graduates by top employers, and the analysis of 22.5 million research papers and 162 million citation data in the largest abstract database Scopus.

According to the QS ranking rules, the top fifty law schools in the world are ranked according to the order of scoring, and the law schools ranking from fifty to one hundred are sorted alphabetically by school name. In 2020, Peking University and Tsinghua University Law Schools entered the top fifty law schools in the world. KoGuan School of Law of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the law schools of four universities including Fudan University, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, and Zhejiang University jointly ranked from fifty-one to one hundred.

KoGuan School of Law was formally established in 2002, and it took only ten years to enter the top 100 of the QS World University Rankings for Law and Legal Studies in 2012. For the past nine years, KoGuan School of Law has maintained and continuously improved its ranking, and is regarded as one of the fastest growing law schools by peers in China. In addition, according to the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings for Law and Legal Studies 2020, KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University ranked thirtieth, becoming the highest ranked law school in mainland China.

In recent years, KoGuan School of Law has continuously improved its quality of teaching and strengthened its fundamentally strong academic research.
