
From June 30 to July 2, 2025, a delegation from KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, led by Dean Professor Peng Chengxin, visited three leading law schools in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region: the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), and the Faculty of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen friendly ties and expand cooperation in the training of legal professionals with international expertise. The delegation also included Chair Professor SUN Changyong, Associate Dean and Associate Professor ZHANG Guobin, and Associate Professor XU Xiangxin.
On the afternoon of June 30, the delegation met with Professor FU Hualing, Dean of the HKU Faculty of Law. The two sides had in-depth discussions on topics such as the development of curricula in international and foreign-related legal education, student exchange programs, and visiting scholar opportunities, exploring pathways for future cooperation.
On the morning of July 2, the delegation visited the School of Law at CityUHK. They were warmly received by Professor DING Chunyan, Associate Dean; Professor WANG Jiangyu, Director of the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law; Associate Professor LI Enshen; and Assistant Professor YU Chen. During the cordial exchange, both sides agreed to deepen collaboration in areas such as joint training programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students and the development of summer programs, building upon existing cooperative frameworks.
On the afternoon of July 3, the delegation held a friendly meeting with Professor XI Chao, Dean of the CUHK Faculty of Law, and Assistant Professor YAN Yueming. The two sides shared experiences in cultivating legal talent with global perspectives and discussed cross-regional legal training initiatives between mainland China and Hong Kong. Both parties expressed a commitment to further strengthening institutional ties in the future.
