KoGuan - Stanford University Scholarship Program

With the strong support of Leo KoGuan Foundation and Mr. Leo Koguan, Stanford Law School officially established the KoGuan-Stanford University Scholarship Program in 2020, in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed in San Francisco in 2019.

The KoGuan-Stanford University Scholarship Program was developed to fund KoGuan School of Law alumni and current students to study for an LLM degree at Stanford University. The scholarship funding includes tuition, airfare and living expenses.

Applicant’s Eligibility:

KoGuan School of Law alumni and current students are eligible. At least one bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctor's degree of law from KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University is required, or one of the above degree awarding qualifications has been obtained.

Applicant’s Procedure:

1. KoGuan School of Law alumni and students who are eligible to apply for an LLM program at Stanford can now apply to KoGuan International Rule of Law and Principle Center for an online grant, when submitting an application to Stanford. See https://law.stanford.edu/education/degrees/advanced-degree-programs or contact jenniferfan@leokoguanfoundation.org for details.

2. Upon successful application to any LLM programs at Stanford University, applicants can submit written statements of financial assistance to KoGuan International Rule of Law and Principle Center and Stanford University.

3. KoGuan International Rule of Law and Principle Center together with the SJTU KoGuan School of Law International Program Office will conduct an interview to determine the proposed list of grants, the amount of grants and the duration of grants, and confirm with Stanford University.

4. Stanford University will be responsible for the awarding of the scholarship.
