Cambridge University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz Visited KoGuan Law School

On April 9, 2011, the celebration day of the 115th Anniversary of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an official delegation from the University of Cambridge visited KoGuan Law School (SJTU). The delegation was led by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz and the members include Professor Sir Borysiewicz's wife, Dr. Gwwenllian Borysiewicz and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jennifer Barnes. Deputy Director Guo Liang of SJTU's Division of International Cooperation and Exchange acommpanied the delegation to visit the Law School.

Dean Ji Weidong and law faculty members welcomed the delegation. The distinguished guests toured the Moot Court room, the LL.M. program classroom, and the KoGuan Law Library. During the tour, Professor Borysiewicz made a short speech to law school alumni who returned for reunion. Dean Ji also discussed with Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz about the legal education in UK and China.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz visited the Law School right before he went to the ceremony for his appointment as SJTU Professor Emeritus and after that delivered his speech - The Spirit of Cambridge – at the President's Forum to the SJTU community.
