Professor Shen Wei was invited to hold two lectures at Law School of Leiden University in the Netherlands

On May 12-13, 2015, Prof. Shen Wei was invited to give lectures at the Law School of Leiden University in the Netherlands.

Founded in 1575, the University of Leiden is not only the oldest institution of higher education in the Netherlands but also one of the most prestigious European universities. Leiden University is divided into nine major colleges, more than 50 departments, more than 150 professions and 11 core research areas, which is one of Europe's most prestigious academic universities. According to 2014 and 2015 "QS World University Rankings", Leiden University ranked the world's top in many disciplines, of which the law ranked 23.

Professor Shen Wei held a lecture on May 12 titled China's BIT Law and Practice: Status Quo and Changing Trends. Ms. Anette van Sandwijk, director of the Office for International Education Law School, gave a lecture on behalf of Law School and introduced Professor Shen Wei at the beginning of the talk.

On May 13, Professor Shen Wei held a lecture entitled "When Private Equity Meets China: China Myth and Chinese Company Law Reform." Professor Iris S. Wuisman chaired the lecture and presented a gift to Professor Shen Wei after the lecture.

Professor Shen Wei also paid a visit to Professor Richard Lawson, dean of law school. The two sides discussed the student exchange plan. Professor Lawson thanked Professor Shen Wei for visiting Leiden Law School and for holding seminars, and presented Professor Shen with souvenirs.
