The rise of Asia and the dynamics of Asian economic development have impacted the global trade relationships and regional cooperation tremendously. The World Trade Organization who integrates national economies into global trade regulations has further liberalized trade relationships between developed and developing nations and amongst the emerging economies in particular in Asia. A diversity of trade related issues ranging from the China FTAs in its neighbourhood, the Tripartite Relationship between China, Japan and Korea to Transpacific Economic Partnership will be addressed by world renowned experts – academics and practitioners – at this December 2013 Symposium. A collection of their papers will be published in Brill’s Asian Law Series (Brill Academic Publishers).
