Overview


The Leo KoGuan Law Library is sponsored by the Leo KoGuan Foundation of the United States and named after Mr. Leo KoGuan, Chairman of the Foundation. The Library has a total area of 1,200 square meters and a collection of 30,000 volumes of books, including about 6,000 volumes of books in foreign languages. It has also a collection of 134 law reviews and journals, including 25 in English and 9 in Japanese, and 15 newspapers, including 1 in English. In addition to printed materials, the Library has access to English electronic legal databases such as Database of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinalawinfo (Chinese, English), Lawyee, Westlaw China, Westlaw, Heinonline, LexisNexis Academic, JSTOR, ProQuest, SpringerLink, Cambridge Journals Online, Oxford Journals, etc. The Library has also wireless access to the Internet and the catalogue inquiry and electronic resource inquiry terminals. The reading room can accommodate 180 people. It is open to all law school students and teachers from 8:30 to 22:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 8:30 to 4:30 on Friday and Saturday.
