On 14th of June, 2018 Koguan Law School of Jiao Tong University hosted event MY BLOCKCHAIN STORY organised by Blockchain Hub. MY BLOCKCHAIN STORY is a series of events mainly focusing on sharing personal stories of successful Blockchain professionals. “At Blockchain Hub we believe that sharing personal perspective and experience is the best motivator. We want to allow industry leaders to keep it very real and share with the audience their individual Blockchain stories”, explains the team of SJTU students organising this event.

Blockchain Hub was initially created in 2016 on Koguan Law School bases with an aim to introduce Blockchain technology and its profound potential to transform the modern world to the students and academic community. Ever since 2016 it has been bringing Blockchain industry leaders to the campus to share their insights with students and scholars. Tamar Menteshashvili, the founder of Blockchain Hub and PhD candidate at SJTU explains role of the Hub: “When I created this hub 2 years ago, the main goal was to raise awareness and understanding of Blockchain technology among students and professors. This was the time when I first arrived in Shanghai and saw need for such community to be developed as there was no active university based community working on Blockchain related topics. Today we see Blockchain Hub as a platform for the industry leaders and Blockchain community members to share their experience with students and professors. This industry is growing fast and is in constant need of new talents entering the market. Therefore, one of our roles is to be a moderator between those who are in the industry and those who want to become the part of it in the future.”

On 14th June, MY BLOCKCHAIN STORY hosted representatives of Blockchain projects such as NEM, EXPREAD, DECENT, Gaea Foundation and ATN. The event format allowed audience to be actively engaged in the discussions and establish professional networking channels with the projects represented in the campus.
